The mandatory six-parking spaces lead us to a sectional approach: the parking spaces’ roof shelters the private garden areas of the M3 type houses and becomes their second reference level, allowing to keep the height of the garden’s contiguous wall to a minimum (5m90) for a three-storey house. Each house benefits from a double exposure, one side facing the alley as the other is hidden from view and looks out onto the block’s heart. he buildings are set up a private alley perpendicular to the main street. The transition between public and private space is achieved in two steps: the private alley is separated from the public street by the pre-existing portal, a flight of stairs creates a threshold between the M1-M2-M3 type houses and the private alley. The MK/5-VI plan is established on a plot associated to the neighbouring plot through co-ownership. It features a dual scale: the plot’s scale and the plot’s components. Despite the plot’s small size, each house includes a private outdoor area, terrace, garden or patio.
